If Only For Awhile..

My name is Mary, I'm 19 and in my 2nd year of college. I hope to one day help bring not only clean water but the Living Water to those who need it. I love to write poetry and am a bit too nervous to share it with people in real life so I'll post stuff here.

The little things in life that make you happy, or ponder life in a deeper way.The solemn thoughts you think of on a rainy day. A poem here or there. A picture or two. The small things in life, I'll share them with you. :)

Ask me a question. :)

I bless whoever made this. I bless their children, I bless their hair, and I bless them millions of times over.

only reblogging because he danced to the music i was listening to at the moment.

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Philippians 4:7(The Message)

Mom’s Weekend

I spent my weekend, with resident’s and their moms.

Went to Bing’s for dinner, walked to the covered bridge, shared my fancy chocolate with them, wore PJs and watched Miss Congeniality.

Is it weird that I cry at the end of the movie when she gets the award?

I admire her character so much, and sometimes find myself relating to her in ridiculous amounts…

I love my weekend and this job.

want to be in Dallas.. here. Not doing homework. Counting stars. Eating off of the blackberry bushes in the back of the drive in theater while holding hands with someone. yeah.. that’d be nice.

relationship advice from a unexperienced hypocrite

burningforalltosee:

- enjoy your youth

- take it slow

- make sure you really get to know a person before you jump into a full blown relationship

- listen to your friends/family when they give you advice or warn you

- never compromise on your values and boundaries

- AT ALL COST; DON’T KISS FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME  (no matter how “good” it feels)

- don’t have arguments through texting

- try to spend lots of time in public places/ with friends

- don’t date someone who is at a different stage of life

I’d give this an Amen.

I love abandoned places where nature is taking over again. It always makes me think about how the world would be fine if the human race was all of a sudden obliterated - things would go back to normal, it would be one giant jungle of cities covered in nature again. Also reminds me of Castle in the Sky, the 1986 movie by Hayao Miyazaki.
